International Female Ride Day (IFRD) is a global motorcycle event that is specific to women who either own motorcycles, ride or are interested in riding. The event takes place on the 1st Saturday of May every year and it’s aim is to showcase women motorcycle riders and to promote those who participate and enjoy the event globally.
Kenyan women bikers joined other women around the world in celebrating IFRD on 7th May. This year’s theme was ‘celebrating women in motorcycling’ as we continue to #BreakThe Bias. The women rode to Masinga Dam on the border of Machakos and Embu counties and spent the afternoon participating in activities that allowed them to bond and celebrate each other.
