David ‘Chwa’ Mbaya

David “Chwa” Mbaya is a founding member of the Private Bikers Association of Kenya (formerly Motorcycle Kenya) and a Trustee since 2021. With over 20 years of riding and leadership experience, he has been instrumental in advancing safe and responsible motorcycling across Kenya and Africa through the LAST framework.

Chwa leads the Ubuntu Breakfast Run, which unites over 1,000 bikers annually across African countries, and spearheaded major charity rides including the 47 Ride (touring all Kenyan counties to raise scholarship funds) and the World Autism Day Ride to Garissa in April 2024, where he led 15 riders through five counties to raise awareness in Level 5 hospitals.

Known for his strong networks, planning skills, and cross-border riding experience since 2004, Chwa continues to champion unity, charity, and biker empowerment across the continent.
