Sammy Kiumbe

Sammy Kiumbe is an experienced and passionate cross-country adventure rider who has founded and provided leadership in the Kenya bikers community network. He currently serves in the Motor Sports Federation of Kenya (MSFK) board as the director beyond sports and also the Chair of Leisure and Touring Commission under FIM Africa. He is also a member of the Kenya Private Bikers Association (PBAK) Board of Trustees having successfully served as the first inaugural chair of the Association (previously referred to as Motorcycle Kenya).

Before that, Sammy served as the chairperson of the Superheroes Bikers Club, the largest and foundational bikers club in Kenya. This club played a significant role in establishing and shaping nyumba kumis which has structured and organized Kenya's private biking community into geographical sets. The nyumba kumi structure which is presently run by PBAK, provides accountability and unity for all kinds of riders in the country.

Enhanced by a heart of servant leadership and interpersonal skills, Sammy has significantly contributed towards a transformative biking community culture translating concrete outcomes for the bikers and the society in general. For instance, he introduced the International Ubuntu run breakfast in Kenya which attracts close to 400 bikers at a ago and led a number of bikers agenda advocacy campaigns including the 2022 legalization of lane splitting practice for motorcycles in Kenya. He is also an active member of the Motorrad Club in the country and will be part of the seven African riders that toured Africa to raise funds for a charity course. Sammy also runs a motorcycle training school for children aged between 4-16 years.

In recognition of his contribution to the biking community, Sammy has received a number of awards. In 2019, he was awarded the Private Bikers Association Award for his visionary leadership, mentorship, training and development of the bikers’ community and subsequently awarded the official of the year by the Motor Sports Federation of Kenya (MSFK) in 2023.

Besides biking, Sammy has over 18 years of experience as a pastor, predominantly with CITAM and is currently volunteers as Pastor with Nairobi Chapel. He is also a talented entrepreneur who runs a Transport and Courier Company.
